Meta permissions

What CommentProtect requests from Meta, why those permissions are needed, and what the app does not access.

Why permissions are requested

CommentProtect needs permission to read comments, manage comments, list connected Pages, and identify eligible Instagram Business Accounts. Those permissions let the app bring new comments into one inbox and apply your configured actions.

How permissions are used

  • Read Page and Instagram account metadata so you can select what to protect.
  • Read new comments so they can be filtered, labeled, and assigned.
  • Hide, delete, or reply to comments only when your rules or teammates request those actions.
  • Keep access tokens encrypted and scoped to the connected workspace.

What CommentProtect does not do

  • It does not need your Meta password.
  • It does not post to your personal timeline.
  • It does not start historical moderation on old comments before connection.
  • It does not give teammates access to your Facebook or Instagram login.
