Before you connect Meta
Use the Facebook profile that already has admin access to the Pages and Instagram Business Accounts you want to moderate. CommentProtect uses official Meta OAuth, so your Meta password is never shared with the app or your team.
If you are connecting Instagram, make sure the Instagram account is a Business Account connected to a Facebook Page.
Launch checklist
- Create your CommentProtect workspace when access is approved.
- Authorize Meta and select the Pages or Instagram Business Accounts to protect.
- Enable baseline filters for URLs, profanity, negativity, emails, phone numbers, and custom blocklist terms.
- Invite teammates with the lowest role that fits their job.
- Review the inbox for the first live comments before enabling aggressive auto-delete rules.
What happens after connection
CommentProtect starts processing new comments after a Page or Instagram Business Account is connected. Historical comment import is not available in the current launch.
