Affiliate program policies

These policies apply to every CommentProtect affiliate. Approved partners re-confirm them inside the portal before activation.

CommentProtect Affiliate Program Agreement

1. Relationship

You are an independent promoter of CommentProtect, not an employee, agency, or official representative. You may describe yourself as a 'CommentProtect affiliate partner' and nothing else.

2. Commissions

Unless your account terms say otherwise, you earn a 30% recurring commission on net retained subscription revenue (excluding tax, discounts, refunds, credits, disputes, and chargebacks) for the first 12 paid subscription months of each referred customer. Commissions lock for 30 days after each paid invoice — the first commission for each customer stays locked through their second billing cycle — and reverse if the customer refunds, disputes, or cancels during that window. Trial-only signups, free accounts, leads, and internal/test accounts never earn commission. A commission is earned only when it meets every qualification in this agreement: the existence of a signup, invoice, or payment authorization does not by itself earn anything.

3. Attribution

Attribution requires your issued referral link or coupon. The first qualified click wins for 30 days. Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, pop-unders, toolbar or extension injection, clicks injected after a purchase decision (checkout interception), and any technique that sets attribution without a deliberate visitor click are prohibited and void commissions.

4. Self-referrals and related parties

You may not earn commission on your own subscriptions, your company's subscriptions, subscriptions of your employees, contractors, household members, or entities you control, existing CommentProtect customers, or accounts you create or manage on behalf of customers. Detected self-referrals are rejected and repeated attempts terminate the account.

5. Paid search and brand terms

Bidding on 'CommentProtect', misspellings, or confusingly similar terms, using CommentProtect in ad display URLs, domains, social handles, or app names, or direct-linking paid ads to commentprotect.com is prohibited unless the product owner approves it for your account in writing.

6. Prohibited traffic and sub-affiliates

Spam of any kind (unsolicited email, SMS, DMs, comment spam), bots, fake accounts, incentivized or rewarded signups, malware/adware distribution, and misleading pre-sale pages are prohibited. Bulk email or SMS promotion requires prior written approval plus evidence of legal compliance (CAN-SPAM, CASL, and local equivalents), including consent records, sender identification, and unsubscribe handling. Sub-affiliates, traffic reselling, and routing third-party traffic through your links are prohibited without written approval; where approved, you remain fully liable for all sub-affiliate conduct and must identify traffic sources on request.

7. FTC disclosure and reviews

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your financial relationship with CommentProtect wherever you promote it — placed with the endorsement itself, not behind a link. 'I earn a commission if you subscribe through my link' is sufficient; vague wording ('#partner', 'thanks CommentProtect') is not. Fake reviews, reviews from people who have not genuinely used the product, undisclosed paid endorsements, and presenting compensated content as an 'independent review' are prohibited (FTC Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule).

8. Marketing claims

Use only claims from the approved claims library or wording you have received written approval for. Never promise moderation outcomes, revenue gains, Meta compliance results, or AI accuracy figures that CommentProtect has not published.

9. Payouts, withholding, and reserves

Payouts require an accepted current agreement, an approved payout profile, an approved tax profile, and a balance above the minimum payout threshold. Payment may be delayed, withheld, reversed, or offset while fraud review is pending, including for suspected fraud, refunds, chargebacks, duplicate accounts, self-referrals, or policy-violating traffic. New affiliates: a first payout above the program cap is held for manual review, and a rolling reserve percentage is withheld from early payouts and released after the card-dispute window matures. Any refund, chargeback, or ineligibility discovered after payment creates a repayable balance that offsets future commissions. Payout identity must match your affiliate identity; changes to payout details are re-verified before the next payment. You are responsible for taxes on your commission income; records may be reported to tax authorities where required.

10. Audit and transparency

CommentProtect may request and you must provide, within 10 business days, reasonable evidence of your promotional methods: landing pages, ad copy, keyword lists, email consent records, and traffic-source documentation. Refusal or falsification permits withholding of pending commissions and termination for cause.

11. Suspension and termination

CommentProtect may pause, suspend, or terminate affiliate accounts for policy violations, fraud signals, or brand risk. Suspension freezes unpaid commissions pending review. Termination for fraud forfeits unpaid commissions. The clawback, offset, audit, indemnity, and withholding rights in this agreement survive termination.

12. Responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for your promotional activity complying with applicable law and platform policies. You will indemnify CommentProtect against claims, penalties, and chargeback losses caused by your fraud, misleading advertising, spam, privacy violations, or other breach of this agreement.

13. Changes

The agreement may be updated. You will be asked to accept the new version before further commissions become payable.

Prohibited methods

  • Cookie stuffing, forced or hidden clicks, iframe/pixel attribution
  • Brand bidding on CommentProtect terms or typo domains (unless approved)
  • Posting private coupon codes to public coupon directories
  • Browser extensions or toolbars that inject affiliate parameters
  • Self-referrals, related-party referrals, or signing up customers under your own link
  • Spam (email, comments, DMs) or incentivized fake signups
  • Sub-affiliates or traffic reselling without written approval
  • Fake reviews, undisclosed paid endorsements, or fake 'independent review' sites
  • Claims of guaranteed moderation results, revenue, or Meta compliance
  • Impersonating CommentProtect, its staff, or official support
